Daily spending calculator
Shows how much money is genuinely free to spend each day until your next payday, after the bills still to come and the savings you want to keep.

How it works
Your balance minus the bills still due and the savings you want to keep is the money that is actually free.
Dividing it by the days until payday gives a daily figure. Spend less today and tomorrow's figure grows; spend more and it shrinks, so recalculate every few days.
Safe to spend per day = (balance − bills still due − savings) ÷ days until payday
Worked example
With 1,400 in the account, 520 of bills still to leave, 200 to save and 12 days to payday, 680 is free: 56.67 a day, or about 396.67 a week.
Limits
- It only knows what you enter. A forgotten bill makes the daily figure too high.
- It assumes your balance is cleared money, not pending payments.
Questions
Should I include money I'm owed?
Only once it has arrived. Counting money you expect but don't have yet is the most common reason a daily budget fails.
What if the result is negative?
Your committed costs are larger than your balance. Look first at which bills can move to after payday or be reduced, and avoid borrowing at high cost to cover the gap.
